Hey there! I'm Elena Kent.  I am an actor and an artist who's been working professionally for over 3 decades.  For the past 20, it's been mostly stage, but I returned to film and TV in July 2022 and I've had some incredible experiences since my return.  To see more of my recent film work, check out my Actor's Access link below.  ​ I am a big ol' theatre girl at heart, and it's where I've concentrated the past 20 years of my professional career.  I directed and produced all kinds of work, collaborating with ahhh-mahhh-zingly talented artists who joined me in creating transformative programming with community impact.  I am proud to be the  the founder of Be Theatre in San Angelo, Texas, where I served as Artistic Director for 11 years.  During that time, I also performed on stage, designed costumes, worked as a scenic artist and even wrote a play for our annual melodrama.  They were the most formative years of my creative career, not only because I learned everything I know about producing theatre, but more importantly, I learned how to lead effectively and create a safe space for all kinds of artistic expression.  ​  I am currently teaching at Carol Hickey Acting Studio and working with the Conservatory and Pre-Professional students. I am an 'empty nest' mom to 3 adult children, Carson, Griffin and Eiley, and married almost 30 years to Kevin.  I love the artist lifestyle, as I continue to split my time both between professional acting and studio artist.  I also LOVE teaching!
