Hey y'all! I'm Elena Kent, a West Texas native and creative artist working professionally for over 3 decades.  After returning to film (from 2 decades in the theatre and arts administration) I'm so thrilled to be working professionally in film and television as well as working commercially. During my career, I have directed and produced all kinds of work, collaborating with amazingly talented artists to create transformative programming with community impact.  I am proud to be the the founder of Be Theatre in San Angelo, Texas, where I served as Artistic Director for 11 years. During that time, I also performed on stage, designed costumes, worked as a scenic artist and even wrote a play for our annual melodrama.   ​ In the fall of 2024, I produced and directed my first short film, GoodWill, shot on location in Austin, Texas. Produced in partnership with Pink Mud Productions, we are currently in post-production for a 2025 finish and a festival run for 2026. Directing theatre and film is at the core of my creative soul. I have absolutely loved this experience and can't wait to direct more film. I am currently teaching at Carol Hickey Acting Studio as well as coaching independently. The role I am most proud of is mom and wife with 3 adult children, Carson, Griffin and Eiley, and married almost 30 years to Kevin. For more professional information, please see links below.
